Our most recent endeavor has been a recording of tunes that our fiddler, Beth, collected from descendants of the area's early fiddlers. With the release of our newest recording, My Father Was A Fiddler..., we have done a bit of "tune-saving" and we're glad to share these nearly lost tunes with folks everywhere.

Each recording comes with a 24-page 
illustrated booklet.

Iowa State Fare
Two cuts by Foot-Notes are on  a CD called Iowa State Fare:  Music from the Heartland, produced by Smithsonian  Folkways for the 1996  Festival of  American Folklife. The recording is a collection of tunes from Iowa's diverse  ethnic musical traditions, from Black  gospel and blues to Meskwaki Indian and Norwegian-American dance music.

Decorah Waltz

Our first recording on both CD and cassette, Decorah Waltz, was made in 1996 in conjunction with our appearance at the Smithsonian Festival of American Folklife on the National Mall in Washington, DC.  It holds a delightful assortment of tunes from a variety of sources, including some original tunes in the old time style by Foot-Notes band members.

Issued in celebration of the Iowa 
Sesquicentennial.
